What should I do if the value of the items in my package exceeds 200,000 JPY?

According to Japan Post, when the declared value of the package exceeds 200,000 JPY, 2,800 JPY Customs clearance commission fee and additional documentation is required.

Before the package is exported from Japan
After paying the shipping fee, your package will not be dispatched from tenso warehouse until you complete the two procedures below. You will receive email notification from us to submit required documents.

[2] Submit order details or product link with the following information

- Product name
- Materials
- Country of origin
- Manufacturer, Brand/Serial number/Model number
*Declared value should match the price on the order you provided.


After package arriving in the destination
As regulation varies in countries, you might need to pay for customs duties or submit documents to your local customs on your end.
