What differences are there between insuring and not insuring a package?

If a package is insured, you can be compensated for up to 2,000,000 yen if your package is damaged or lost during international shipping.
Compensation is decided based on the declared value of the item.
If an item is not insured, you can only be compensated for up to 20,000 yen, regardless of the item's declared value.
Therefore, we recommend insuring your item if its declared value is more than 20,000 yen.
